Student Clubs

Clubs play an important role at CKM, providing students the opportunity to meet new friends, connect with like-minded teens, engage in constructive activities, and simply have fun. Clubs are typically initiated by students and must have a CKM staff sponsor. Clubs may be centered on the arts, academics, leadership, culture or simply a social community. Most clubs meet during the lunch period of the school day.

Club Rush is held at the beginning of each semester and allows clubs to showcase their activities and recruit new club members. Students have a wide variety of clubs from which to choose. Each CKM student is encouraged to join one or more clubs as a way to more closely connect to their school. In addition to the clubs below, there are activities which are part of the student’s schedule of classes—the student newspaper, the yearbook and ASB (student government) for example.

CKM’s drama club—the Lion’s Pride Players—presents a play in the fall and a musical in the spring. CKM’s Marching Band and Color Guard has an annual concert schedule, attends a variety of competitions throughout the year, and plays at CKM football and basketball games.
